MINISTER
Hello, my name is Daniel Adam, and I am excited to be joining the South Congregational Church community. My individual faith journey began at South Church when my family lived in Croydon. After moving to Canaan (NH), I began attending another UCC church in the Upper Valley.
Over the past several years, I have been an active volunteer at Horton Center and in the New Hampshire Conference as a member of the Outdoor Missions Group, and I had the pleasure of joining the 2018 Horton Center summer staff as the Environmental Educator.
I attended Gordon College and Boston University School of Theology where I earned my Bachelor of Science and Master of Divinity, respectively. I first received my call to ministry while sitting in my Old Testament class at Gordon, but I did not fully discern that call until I began participating at Horton Center.
During seminary I interned for two years at the Plymouth Congregational Church in Belmont (MA), where I gained practical experience working in ministry. After graduating from seminary, I then completed a unit of Clinical Pastoral Education at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, where I spent the summer providing pastoral care to patients and families as they underwent medical treatment.
In my free time I enjoy canoeing, camping, fly fishing, snowshoeing, walking my dog, Jasmine, and generally being outside in God’s Creation.
